which reflects the fact that some Council members are now less willing to shield the Council's divisions from
public view. In part, this reflects the polarizing nature of some key items more recently before the Council . . .

After some serious misdeeds, Superman is brought in chains to UN Headquarters to be tried by the Security Council itself. Thankfully the villains who have been exerting mind control over Superman give themselves away. While pretending to be from a future time where beings exist on nutrient capsules, they slip up by revealing they know how to use salt and pepper shakers! Superman's reputation is restored, and out of gratitude for their services to mankind, Superman and Batman receive "the greatest honor ever granted by the U.N.", that of having their flags fly among those of Member States.
